We have project experience in various industries.  Here are a list of some of the projects 
that we have worked on grouped by the industries that they are associated with.


Education
We developed commercial software for tutoring and testing reading comprehension for elementary students. This was developed for Windows 95, Windows 3.xx environment. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 4.0 16 bit with MS Access 2.0. Financial
We developed a stand-alone custom software solution for a stock investment firm. The program tracks stock trends based on complex mathematical algorithms. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 5.0. The database is Microsoft Access 97 accessed through Microsoft Jet Engine. The program was eventually upgraded to Visual Basic 6.0. The reports were created with Seagate Crystal Reports 6.0. The graphs were created with 3rd party utilities.
We developed a client-server based system to run an electronic bill payment service, more specifically a biweekly mortgage service. This is a fully automated system which: pays broker’s and salesperson’s commissions electronically, collects customer payments and pays lenders electronically, builds EDI based ACH files for electronic debits and credits, tracks accounting transactions (general ledger, bank reconciliation, account adjustments), automated faxing, internet based account viewing, increased payment options, and many other features. The system and GUI were written in Visual Basic 6.0. The database was SQL Server 7.0 connected through a custom ADO/Active X object layer. The database has recently been upgraded to SQL Server 2000. The language used to communicate between our system and the bank is the PPD/CCD ACH (Automated Clearing House) format. The Internet based portion is currently being written using the .NET architecture. All reports were created with Seagate Crystal Reports 8.0.
GIS We did graphics/mapping work using Adobe Illustrator. We wrote a custom application to format data in Adobe Illustrator 8.0. We wrote an advanced application for formatting data in Adobe Illustrator 9.0. The programs used for formatting data in any of these applications were written with Visual Basic 6.0 and/or the Adobe Illustrator SDK for version 9.0. We worked on the development team testing and debugging for a program that assists PennDot in tracking their work orders for their signs. The program was written in Visual Basic 6.0. All of the reports were created with Microsoft Excel. Healthcare We developed software to take data in text format from the mainframe and convert the data into a readable format for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for claims processing. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 6.0. We worked on the development team testing and debugging for a program that is used for claims processing and claims management. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 6.0 and the reports were created with Seagate Crystal Reports 8.0. Information Technologies We were responsible for developing a setup package that would upgrade the existing Internet Explorer browsers for all users to 128-bit encryption. It was a smart setup disk that detected any service packs that were necessary depending on the version of IE and the operating system it was running on. The technologies used were SMS Installer and Internet Explorer. We worked on a program that was used for automated data backup. This was developed in Visual Basic 6.0. We developed VPN and dial up install packages for many of thecustomers of one of our clients, many of them being Fortune 500 companies. The technologies used were Microsoft Connection Manager and Microsoft SMS Installer.
We developed a small application to expand the abilities of Microsoft Outlook 2000. The technologies used were Visual Basic 6.0 , Outlook 2000, Microsoft Exchange Server. Manufacturing We worked on a program for managing paper machine maintenance. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 5.0. The database is Microsoft Access 97 accessed through the Microsoft Jet Engine. The reports were created with Seagate Crystal Reports 6.0. Real Estate We developed a client-server property management system. This system keeps track of tenants, apartments, complexes, accounting (general ledger), receiving payments, adjustments, maintenance, and many other features. This system and GUI were written in Visual Basic 6.0. The database is Microsoft Access 97 connected through an ADO layer. The general ledger part of the project works with SBT Accounting software. All reports created for the project were done with Seagate Crystal Reports 6.0. This project was a new product based on an old non-Y2K compliant FoxPro application.
Retail We worked on several projects developing client-server components for Point-Of-Sale Systems. Our responsibilities included aging reports, monthly statements, and many other customer account components. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 5.0. The database is SQL Server 6.5 accessed through RDO based data sets. Scientific We developed commercial research software for Windows 95, Windows 3.xx environment. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 3.0 with Microsoft Access 2.0. The program was later upgraded to Visual Basic 4.0 16 bit. Wholesale We developed a custom client-server based system to run the operations of a chicken broker. The components of the project included general ledger, invoices, payment options, receivables, account aging, automated faxing, check printing, and many other functions. The interface was developed in Visual Basic 4.0 and later upgraded to Visual Basic 6.0. The database is SQL Server 6.5 accessed through Microsoft Jet engine and ODBC. All reports were done through a custom application that uses Word 8.0 OLE and Windows APIs.
